On the heels of the news of its new Juice Inc. “business” venture and Malta-based software developer, Playson has penned a content distribution partnership with South African virtual sports and number games developer and supplier, Kiron Interactive.
A “major step forward” in its “ambitions to penetrate the continent,” the new alliance will see Playson’s portfolio of top-performing slot titles, such as the Egyptian-themed hit Solar Queen released in July 2019, along with more recent releases Wolf Power Megaways and Lion Gems: Hold and Win, made available to regulated operators in Africa via Kiron.
Opportunity to Evolve:
Commenting on the collaboration, Steven Spartinos, Co-Chief Executive Officer for Kiron said…
“While, traditionally, casino and slot games have not formed part of our core business, our market position, strength and innate knowledge of African territories have presented an opportunity for us to evolve our offering.”
The Co-CEO added that the partnership with Playson provides an “excellent opportunity” for them to expand their product and service portfolio and they “look forward to a strong and prosperous relationship.”
A leading operator on the continent, the Johannesburg-headquartered company has already established long-term partnerships with some of the most renowned operators in the territory. Represented in over 30 countries in Africa, the operator will aid the games provider in “exponentially” broadening the reach of its games across the continent and beyond.
Improved Engagement:
“We have identified Africa as an important area of growth for Playson, with our diverse range of games suitable in attracting a wide demographic of player, leading to the potential of improved engagement for local operators,” read a statement from Blanka Homor, Sales Director for Playson.
Homor went on to explain the significance of the alliance, adding that partnering with Kiron is a “major step forward” in their “ambitions to penetrate the continent.” And that the company has a “strong reputation” within the region, while its “impressive operator network will offer significant opportunities” to deliver their games to more players.
Juice Inc.:
The partnership deal follows Playson’s soon-to-be-launched “new business,” Juice Inc. Not your ordinary everyday fruit slot, the game, according to the developer, is “packing some secrets.”

The new partnership sees Playson expand in a region it first entered in July 2019 after being granted a Class II license by the Romanian regulator (ONJN) allowing it to enter the southeastern European country’s regulated market.
